Extend the schema

Your plugin may require additional parameters to be used in the processing logic. One solution is to add these parameters as fields on the relevant RealTime database (RTDB) tables by extending the RealTime database schema. You can create a schema extension .json file that includes the extra fields you want to include. For an example of how to extend the schema, see Extend tank level to volume conversion.
