The Advanced Logic Processor (ALP) Control window allows you to view the detailed state of an ALPconfig record and manually override its expression result if there is a need to do so. For every component in the ALP’s expression calculation, you can see the point and its current state.

The following table describes items available on the Advanced Logic Processor Control window.
Item |
Description |
|---|---|
Header |
On the header, the name of the ALPConfig record you are viewing and the supplied Description are shown. |
Data Quality |
An icon representing the Data Quality of the ALP record. The Data Quality of the ALP record is set to the worst Data Quality of its inputs. In order of best to worst, the quality indicators that are checked are as follows:
ALP Transition Alarm |
Select the Operator Inhibit checkbox to inhibit the alarms that occur when the ALPConfig transitions into the desired target state, as indicated by the ALP Target Result field. The Administrator Inhibit field is for information purposes only, letting you know if the Transition Alarm has been inhibited by the Administrator. |
Expression |
The Expression field provides the logical expression that has been configured for the ALP. The values used by the expression take the resultant value from the input grid. Using this information, it evaluates the equation and provides the result of Yes or No in the Expression Result field. |
Expression Result |
Shows the result of evaluating the logical expression contained in the Expression field. |
Expression Result Time |
Shows the time the Expression was evaluated. |
ALP Result |
The ALP Result will be the value of the Expression Result if the ALPConfig record is not manually overridden. If the ALP record has been manually overridden, the Override Value field information will become the ALP Result that is used. Downstream applications will be notified when the ALP Result changes. Note: If the Administrator has configured ALP with publish delay, the ALP Result field is only updated with the Expression Result after the delay has expired. |
ALP Result Time |
Provides information about the last time the ALP Result was updated. Note: If the Administrator has configured ALP with publish delay, the ALP Result Time field is only updated after the delay has expired. |
Manual Override |
If the checkbox is checked, the ALP Result will be overridden with the value in the Override Value dropdown. To activate Manual Override and use the selected Override Value, do the following:
To deactivate the Manual Override:
Note: Downstream applications that rely on information from this ALPConfig record will be notified of the change and will act on it. Additionally, after disabling the Manual Override, the ALP will recalculate the result so that it stays up-to-date. |
Override Value |
If you wish to override the ALP Result, select the value with which the ALP Result should be overridden. You can select Yes or No. |
Override Value Time |
This provides the time at which the ALP Result was overridden. |
Output Path |
The status or multistate point to which a command will be issued when the ALP Result of the ALPConfig record changes. |
Output Yes State |
The Output Yes State indicates the command to send to the configured Output Path if the ALP Result field reports a value of Yes. |
Output No State |
The Output No State indicates the command to send to the configured Output Path if the ALP Result field reports a value of No. |
