If the Administrator has configured your Virtual Flow Computer (VFC) as the source of one or more countdowncfg records, the Countdown section of the Virtual Flow Computer Control window may be used to create Gross Standard Volume (GSV) targets and track progress to those targets. For instructions on how to select a countdowncfg record, create, and control targets for your virtualflowcomputer record, refer to the AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Liquids Administrator Guide documentation.
Countdown is an external application that allows for the scheduling and controlling of targets and monitoring of progress to the active targets set against configured countdown sources. Specific fields and tables are supported as sources for the Countdown application. For more information, see Understand Countdown.

The following table lists the fields and actions available in the Countdown section of the Virtual Flow Computer Control window.

The text box contains the countdowncfg table record that has the configured parameters to be used for the target tracking. The countdowncfg record in use can be changed by selecting (…) to bring up the Countdowncfg Select dialog. Only those records already configured to be used by this virtualflowcomputer record will be available in the Countdowncfg Select dialog. |

|
State |

|
Start |
Start will change the current countdown state from Stopped to Active, starting or re-starting (Progress will reset to zero) the tracking. This button is unavailable if the current countdown state is not Stopped. |

This button is disabled if the Countdown Type is Full Automatic or the current countdown state is not Stopped, or if there is no pending countdown remaining. |
