Change the Logic Mode of the valve

Changing the Logic Mode of the Valve allows you to dictate how and if the valve is to be used. As stated in the table below, the Logic Mode defines how the valve will be interpreted in the Flow Network.

To change the Logic Mode

1. From the Logic Mode dropdown list, select your desired Logic Mode:

   • If you wish to have the Flow Network interpret the valve state as Open, you have two options:

     • If you want to allow commands to the valve field device, select Out of Logic.

     • If you do not wish to send commands to the valve field device, select Out of Service Open.

   • If you wish to have the Flow Network interpret that valve state as Closed, select Out of Service Closed.

2. Select Set.
