Flow Network Shutdown with Delay Timer in Effect

  • Last UpdatedApr 24, 2025

For each Flow Network, The Controller can configure one or both types of delay timers:

  • Uncommanded Shutdown Delay For Closed State: the system aborts the shutdown sequence if the valve exits the closed state before a configured number of seconds expire.

  • Uncommanded Shutdown Delay For Closing State: the system aborts the shutdown sequence if the valve exits the closing state before a configured number of seconds expire.

Note: While a Closing delay timer may be 10 seconds long, if a valve moves, (for example, from a CLOSING state to a CLOSED state after 5 seconds), there may exist a Closed delay timer of 20 seconds. In such a situation, you would then have 25 seconds to remedy the situation. If, for example, you manage to move the valve out of the CLOSED state within 15 seconds, no shutdown occurs.
