The Flow Computer Management (FCM) applications make it possible to gather and transmit information to and from the Flow Computer. Presently, the information gathered from the Flow Computer is used to serve a few applications:
-
Advanced and Standard Batch Tracking
-
Schedule Management
-
Meter Proving
FCM, represented by the fcConfigTelemetered and the fcConfigPayload RealTime database (RTDB) tables, is an application that allows a customer to configure a batchXfer record to use information that is coming straight from the Flow Computer in the field, rather than use information that comes from another information source.
By creating a fcConfigTelemetered or fcConfigPayload record, the customer can collect information coming from the Flow Computer (provided to AVEVA Enterprise SCADA in the form of analog and status points), and translate it into a format that the batchXfer record can understand.
After the fcConfigTelemetered or fcConfigPayload record has been connected to the batchXfer record, the batchXfer record will function in the same manner as other batchXfer records. For more information about the configuration of batch transfer, see Configure the Batch Transfer (BatchXfer) record.
