Work with Product Compatibility

Product Compatibility is an independent utility that can be used by any other application that requires a product compatibility check.

Currently, two rules are enforced:

• Drag Reducing Agent (DRA) — By default, products are considered DRA incompatible unless they are configured to be DRA compatible. If they are DRA incompatible, no DRA can be added to the product.

• Transmix — A Transmix type product can be mixed with any other product.

Product compatibility definitions are configured in the prodcompat table. Records in this table have a one-to-one correspondence with records in the prodtype table, which defines actual products. You can define the following:

• If the product is DRA compatible.

• If the product is of the Transmix type.
