Understand the common calculation of Corrected Composite Meter Factor (CCMF)

Note: The API version is configured during the installation procedure, and is not configurable in Advanced Database Editor (ADE).
Most netting types use this method of calculating the Corrected Composite Meter Factor (CCMF). The amount of rounding and the steps where rounding is applied depends on the API version in use.
Calculation:
-
If the version is API2004:
-
CCMF = CTPL x MCF
-
Round CCMF to 5 decimals, or to the specified number of decimals (for example, Batch Tracking linepack specifies 7 decimals).
-
In all standard cases, GSV = GUV x CCMF
-
-
If the version is API1980:
-
Compute CCMF = CTL x CPL x MCF
-
Round the CCMF results to 4 decimals, or to the specified number of decimals.
-
In all standard cases, GSV = GUV x CCMF
-
Standard Calculations
For standard calculations, CCMF is generated and rounded as described above.
Gross Standard Volume = Gross Uncorrected Volume x CCMF
The standard algorithm is used in the following instances:
-
PRODUCTS
-
CRUDES
-
MBTE
-
TBA
-
BENZENE
-
ALKYLATE
-
RAFFINATED
-
TOLUENE
-
NGL
-
ETHANE – HI/LOW PURITY
-
PROPANE
-
BUTANE
-
ISOBUTANE
-
NATURAL-GAS
-
OP400
-
FEEDSTOCKS
-
PYROLYSIS-H/L
-
CO2
-
CONDENSATE
Hydrogen
For hydrogen, no application of correction factors is made.
In this case, Corrected Volume = Uncorrected Volume.
