The Meter Factor Control dialog displays the meter factor that corresponds to the displayed density and flow ranges for a specific meter. The meter factor in the Meter Factor Control dialog corrects the meter for the density of the substance being pumped and for the general rate of flow.
Note: Since meter factors are multipliers for the meter readings, the value is usually close to 1.0.

To access the Meter Factor Control dialog
-
Select the row header for a meter on the Meter Factor Summary window.
The Meter Factor Control dialog appears.
To change meter factors
Meter factors listed in the Meter Factor Control dialog can be edited.
-
Enter a new meter factor in the text box that corresponds to the desired indicated flow and density ranges.
The value entered must be between 0.0-2.0 (exclusive of 0.0 and 2.0).
-
Select Submit Changes.
To edit indicated flow and density ranges
The Indicated Flow Ranges and Density Ranges displayed along the Meter Factor Control dialog can be edited.
-
Select Admin.
The Meter Factor Admin dialog appears, as shown in the figure below, displaying the Indicated Flow Ranges and Density Ranges. The units assigned in the unit profile are recorded next to the column header.
-
Enter a new indicated flow or density range.
Note: The first range must begin at 0. If a negative number is entered, you will receive an error message.
-
Select Submit Changes.
