Re-import a Tank CSV file

Using the instructions outlined in Import Tank CSV files, it is possible to re-import a tank strapping CSV file that already exists in the database. Re-importing can be used to update the strapping table with new information. The import tool will recognize the name of the strapping table, at which point it will delete the existing rows listed in the strapping table, and re-populate it with the information supplied in the new strapping table.

In the event that the name provided is not exactly the same as that used in an existing strapping table, the imported strapping table will be treated as a new strapping table.

If the CSV file does not contain configuration for a property of a strapping table (for example, offset or volume unit), then the import tool retains the current values of the existing strapping table. This does not apply for any strapping elements: when the import tool re-imports an existing strapping table, it deletes all existing strapping elements, and replaces them with the newly defined elements in the CSV file.
