Delete Tank Strapping tables from the database

With your Extended Strapping feature associated with the tanking application, you may have noticed that while you can easily delete rows from the Tank Strapping table, you cannot delete the Tank Strapping table itself. This document outlines how to delete the Tank Strapping table itself, using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.

Notes: The procedures in this section outline how to create a set of Microsoft SQL statements that will manually delete tables from the database. Manual modifications like this are not automatically replicated. This means that manual deletions of records in Historical will not be automatically replicated, that is, if you delete historical data from system 1, the changes will not be pushed through datapump and replicated to system 2.

Although the procedures detail how to delete a Tank Strapping table from the database, we recommend that you do not delete Tank Strapping tables, as they contain historical data that may be relevant when performing such tasks as recalculating historical ticket volumes. Before deleting a Tank Strapping table, ensure that no tanks are using the table. This protects referential integrity.
