The Tank Summary window provides a summary of important tanking information and access to the tank control windows and dialogs.
The values on the Tank Summary window, along with all of the other windows that supply information about tanks, are subject to any custom rounding that has been applied to the precision values. Custom rounding can be applied to the following values:
-
Volume
-
Temperature
-
Density
-
Pressure
For more information about precision custom rounding, refer to the AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Liquids Administrator Guide documentation.
To access the Tank Summary window
-
To access the Tank Summary window, you must first open easy extended Operator Station (ezXOS).
After opening ezXOS, the Navigation Menu appears.
-
Select the LMS dropdown menu, and then select Tank

The Tank Summary window appears.

The following table details the items on the Tank Summary window.
|
Fields |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Name |
Name of the tank record. |
|
Tank Direction |
This column indicates the state that the tank is in. Possible states include:
|
|
External Direction |
This column indicates the state that the tank should be in. Possible states include:
|
|
No. |
Tank number. |
|
Status |
This field indicates whether the tank is in a normal or an alarm state. For a description of tanking alarms, see Enable and configure tank alarms. |
|
Product |
Product type currently contained in the tank. |
|
% Full |
The percent amount by which the tank is full. |
|
GOV |
The Gross Observed Volume (GOV) of product in the tank. The GOV is calculated by:
|
|
Gross Standard Volume (GSV) |
The GOV corrected to standard temperature. |
|
Vol Type |
This indicates whether GOV or GSV is used when applying Rate of Change (ROC) alarms and using the scratch pad. |
|
Vol to Pump |
The volume of liquid in a tank, excluding the tank bottom volume. The configured tank bottom volume is subtracted from the current GOV to calculate the volume of liquid that can be safely pumped from the tank. |
|
Vol to Fill |
The volume of space remaining in the tank. The current GOV in the tank is subtracted from the configured maximum safe tank volume to calculate the volume to fill. If the volume in the tank is larger than the maximum safe volume, the volume to fill is negative. |
|
Remain |
The distance between the current fill level and the maximum safe fill level. This distance decreases as the tank fills, and increases as the tank empties. |
|
Time to Fill/Empty |
The time that it should take to fill or empty the tank at the current flow rate. Note: The time to fill or empty a tank is displayed as <hh:mm:ss> when the time to fill or empty is less than 365 days. If the time to fill or empty is more than 365 days, the field will display as a blank. |
|
Temp |
The temperature in the tank. |
|
GOV Flow Rate |
The instantaneous GOV flow rate based on tank level changes. |
|
GSV Flow Rate |
The instantaneous Gross Standard Volume (GSV) flow rate, calculated by correcting the instantaneous GOV Flow Rate to standard temperature. |
|
Avg GOV Flow Rate |
The average Gross Observed Volume (GOV) flow rate based on tank level changes. Note: The Elapsed Time is configured by the Administrator. |
|
Avg GSV Flow Rate |
The average Gross Standard Volume (GSV) flow rate, calculated by correcting the Avg GOV Flow Rate to standard temperature. |
|
Smoothed GOV Flow Rate |
The average GOV flow rate based on a Basic Exponential Smoothing filter. |
|
Smoothed GSV Flow Rate |
The average GSV flow rate based on a Basic Exponential Smoothing filter, calculated by correcting the Smoothed GOV Flow Rate to standard temperature. |
|
Man Temp |
This field indicates whether or not the temperature is a manually-entered value. For more information, see Open the Tank Manual Overrides dialog. |
|
Man Den |
This field indicates whether or not the density is a manually-entered value. For more information, see Open the Tank Manual Overrides dialog. |
|
Level Format |
This column indicates the level fraction format used to display all the Level values in the tank ezXOS displays, alarm limits, and alarm messages. |
|
Group |
The group to which this tank belongs. |
|
RTU |
The name of the Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) that controls the point. |
|
Remote |
The Remote also identifies the RTU that controls the point. |
|
Station |
Station assignment used for filtering. |
|
Description |
Description of the tank. |
|
Inh Time Left |
This column provides information about for how long the alarms will be inhibited for. After time runs out, if the point is in an alarm state, the point will reactivate the alarm. |
|
Safety |
This checkbox will filter for safety-related points. |
