Active Batch |
A volume of fungible product transferred from one location to another location. The Active Batch is the batch that is moving through the Batch Transfer location at the present time. |
Active Ticket |
The data from the active batch that will be saved when that ticket is cut. This provides information about the batch volume transferred over a period of time. |
Alarm Reset |
To reset all period alarms, select Alarm Reset. |
Audit |
This field indicates whether or not any field in the ticket was edited. It must be set manually. An automated audit trail is automatically generated in the Historical database, but can only be accessed by the Administrator. |
Auto Switch |
This field indicates whether or not the automatic switching function is activated. If this feature is enabled, the Batch Transfer application automatically starts the next ticket in the pending queue when the volume to go on the active ticket reaches zero. |
Batch |
A volume of fungible product transferred from one location to another location. |
Batch Counter Information |
The Batch Transfer Counters displays periodic (hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly) throughput data for a current ticket or the same data summed for every ticket. These counters cannot be reset by you. The current counters are reset automatically each time a new ticket is started. |
Batch ID |
Identifier for a batch. By default, Batch IDs must adhere to the following standards:
Batch Schedule |
Contains all of the tickets. This is a table located in the Historical database. Items can be added/edited/removed to/from the batch schedule through both third-party and AVEVA Enterprise SCADA applications by accessing the stored procedures provided with the Batch Transfer installation. |
Batch Transfer |
The owner of all of the tickets, pending, active, and completed, for a source or set of sources. It handles everything to do with ticket management and accumulating volume. |
Batch Transfer Template |

BatchXfer |
The name as it appears in short-form on the Advanced Database Editor (ADE) and easy eXtended Operator Station (ezXOS) windows. |
Completed Ticket |
Completed tickets are automatically sent to the Historical database. The most recent completed ticket remains cached in RealTime. Completed tickets can be edited, and an automated audit trail will be generated. This applies both to normal tickets and to remote tickets. |
Contaminated |
This field indicates whether or not the ticket was flagged as contaminated. Indicates a mixing of products that may make sample impure or unsuitable. |
Current GSV |
Current volume corrected to standard temperature and pressure |
Cut Type |
Indicates the point in the interface between two batches at which the system declares the detected interface. Mid — the detected interface is declared at the midpoint of the interface between the current batch and the next batch Head — the detected interface is declared at the beginning of the interface between the current batch and the next batch. Tail — the detected interface is declared at the end of the interface between the current and the next batch. |

Level |
Current level in a tank. The level is converted to a gross volume using a strapping table. |
Maintenance Ticket |
Maintenance Tickets can be used to record volume accumulation that is reported by a meter but is not intended to be accounted for as actual flow down the pipeline. |
NSV |

Percent Complete |
Indicates the percentage amount of target volume accumulated on the ticket (non-editable). |
Plugin |
A plugin is a small library any Developer can write that can then be used by the Batch Transfer application. In order to be a plugin, the library must implement specific functionality, such as handling data retrieval for the Batch Transfer to use. Currently, plugins can be written for Sources and Remote Ticketing. |
Press Factor |
The Pressure Correction Factor. |
Revised |
This field indicates whether or not the ticket is a revised ticket (a revised ticket cancels out a previous ticket). |
Rollover |
When the resettable counters reach this value, the application automatically resets the counters to zero. |

Remote Ticketing occurs when the Active Batch calculations and control of ticket completion is handled remotely by a flow computer. |
Scheduled GSV |
The scheduled GSV of the active batch. |
Shipper |
The pipeline account associated with the ticket. |
Shipper ID |
The shipper ID for which this meter correction factor is valid. |
Source |
A source is the parent of one or more devices. In some cases, it maps directly to a AVEVA Enterprise SCADA record type, such as a rate. Other times, it can map to something with many children, such as a meter with several physical meters (each physical meter would be a device). A plugin must be written for each new source type. Default sources are rate, tank, flow meter and flow computer. |
Split Ticket |
Splitting a ticket divides it into two consecutive tickets, and is primarily designed to allow a cutoff for month-end accounting. |
Switch on Volume |
When Switch on Volume is enabled, the Batch Transfer application will automatically start the next ticket in the pending queue when the volume to go on the active ticket reaches zero. If the Manual Batch Switch has been enabled, and there is a delayed ticket start in progress, any automatic starts during the Batch Start Timeout period will be delayed until the timeout period has ended. |
S&W Percentage |
The ratio of sediment and water volume to the total volume, expressed as a percentage. Valid possible entries can be between 0% and 100%. |
S&W Volume |
The amount of sediment and water contained in the product in volume units. |
Switch Status Pt |
If a status point changes in a Batch Transfer, the Batch Transfer application starts a new ticket. |
Target volume |
This field allows you to enter the volume you wish to track. As the volume approaches the target volume, AVEVA Enterprise SCADA generates the warning alarms configured in the Warning Time: 1), Warning Time: 2), and Warning Volume fields. |
Target Vol Type |
This selection allows you to specify whether the volume being tracked is a gross or net volume. Gross = Uncorrected volume (Ivolume). Net = Corrected for temperature and pressure (GSvolume). |
