Maintenance Tickets are automatically started when the Controller initiates a Stop command at a Batch Transfer location. Any volume reported by accumulation devices from this point on will be captured in the Maintenance Ticket, until a normal ticket is started.
When a Maintenance Ticket starts:
-
Batch Completion is executed on the previous active batch. For more information, see Understand the Ticket Stop function.
-
A new active batch is started and flagged as a Maintenance Ticket. On the Batch Transfer Control display, the Maintenance Ticket field will be set to Yes.
-
The pending queue remains unchanged. That is, the system does not use batches in the pending queue for the purpose of creating Maintenance Tickets.
-
The Batch ID is set to Maintenance.
-
The Scheduled GSV is reset to 0.
-
The Volume To Go is inherited from the previous active batch and continues to decrement.
-
The Ticket GSV, NSV and S&W volumes are reset to 0.
-
Volumetric fields for each input device to the active batch are cleared.
-
The Ticket ID is inherited from the previous active batch, appended with an alphabet character (for example: 500026 becomes 500026_A).
-
The Product is inherited from the previous active batch.
An event related to the active batch completion and maintenance ticket creation is generated.
