The Density Measurement source check is made if you have configured it on the Density Check tab. For more information, see Configure the Density Check tab of the DRAInjector record.
For this check, a densitometer must be present at the DRA injection location. The densitometer reading is provided by an analog point, as illustrated in the following diagram.
When performing the Density Measurement source check, the system will do the following:
-
Gets the density reading. This reading comes from the assigned analog that polls the densitometer.
-
From the product definitions in the AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Liquids Common Utilities, the system gets a list of all DRA-prohibited products and their density ranges.
-
Compares the density reading to the density range of each prohibited product. If the reading is within the range of any prohibited product, it is assumed that the product at the DRA injector is not DRA compatible.
If not DRA compatible, a violation condition exists.
