These fields are set if the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) managing the Drag Reducing Agent (DRA) Injector is to be controlled by AVEVA Enterprise SCADA to set the injection rate.
To implement the DRA Injector application control for this, you must configure the following fields on the DRA Rate Management tab.
-
Target Concentration. The desired DRA concentration that you want in the pipeline. This is a Controller field, but you can initialize it.
-
DRA Rate Setpoint Analog. The analog point used to transmit a setpoint command. This analog sets the injection rate (in gallons per hour) to be applied by the DRA injector to achieve the desired target concentration. The values in the Setpoint Tolerance and Setpoint Period fields will determine when a new setpoint command is issued.
-
Flow Rate. Up to four rate points can be assigned. These are used to determine flow rate in the pipeline at the DRA injector location. The DRA injection rate setpoint is dependent on the flow rate. Additionally, you can optionally associate an Advanced Logic Processor (ALP) record with each DRA flow rate. The evaluated result of the ALP record is then used to determine whether the flow rate of the device is included in the total flow rate calculations. For more information, see Advanced Logic Processor (ALP).
-
Minimum Flow Rate. The minimum value that must exist for DRA injection operation to be valid. A violation condition exists if this is not equaled or exceeded.
For more information, see Configuring the DRA Rate Management Tab on the Drag Reducing Agent Injector (DRAInjector) Record.
