Use the DRA Control dialog

- 3 minute read
The Drag Reducing Agent (DRA) Control dialog is used to make minor changes to how the injector runs, to provide easy access to the Batch Transfers providing product to the injector, and to view (and control) the DRAInjector record itself.
You may be able to perform the following:
-
Type a value for the DRA Concentration (ppm).
-
Inhibit the monitoring of Product Transfer Checking.
-
Disable the injector.
However, if your Administrator has disabled or inhibited the monitoring of the injector, you will not be able to perform the above actions.

The following table details the items on the DRA Control dialog.
|
Item |
Description |
|---|---|
|
State |
The DRAInjector record can be in the following states:
|
|
DRA Fluid Type |
Indicates whether the DRA injector is expected to use light or heavy DRA fluid. |
|
Rate Management Method |
Displays whether the rate is not managed (None), Calculated, or determined by Setpoint Lookup. |
|
Total Flow Rate |
If the Rate Management Method is configured as Calculated, the Total Flow Rate displays the result of aggregating the configured sources of flow rates. The Total Flow Rate is then compared against the configured Minimum Flow Rate to determine if a violation exists. Note: If the Rate Management Method is configured as either None or Set Point Lookup—the Total Flow Rate displays N/A instead of a rate. |
|
DRA Concentration (ppm) |
Type an appropriate value for DRA concentration. If your Administrator has enabled the functionality, it is possible to type a value between 1 and 1,000,000 parts per million (ppm). |
|
Inhibit Violation Check |
Inhibits the violation checking of the DRAInjector record. If selected, the DRAInjector record will not be monitored for potentially problematic conditions. If the Administrator has inhibited the monitoring of violation checking, you will not be able to inhibit the violation check until you are given the permission to do so by the Administrator. Inhibiting the violation check also bypasses the Rules Validation Engine (RVE) rule checking. |
|
Disable Injector |
Disables the injector. If you select this checkbox, you are prevented from starting the injector. If selected by the Administrator, you will be prevented from enabling the injector. |
|
Injector |
Opens the Status/Multistate/Pump Control dialogs. If the injector is enabled, it will be possible to use the Status/Multistate/Pump Control dialogs to inject DRA. If the injector has been disabled, and the status, multistate, or pump point is started or stopped, an error message will appear to indicate that the injector has been disabled, either by you or the Administrator. |
|
Batch Transfer(s) |
Opens a small summary showing the Batch Transfers configured to provide product to this injector. |
|
Flush Point |
Opens a screen detailing the DRA Injector Flush Point. |
|
Event Summary |
Opens the Event Summary. For more information about the Event Summary, refer to the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA HMI Controller documentation. |
|
Alarm Summary |
Opens the Alarm Summary. For more information about the Alarm Summary, refer to the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA HMI Controller documentation. |
|
Priority Display |
If configured, the Priority Display allows you to quickly open a window of your choice. For more information about the Priority Display, refer to the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA HMI Controller documentation. |
