Controller commands issued against countdowncfg records initiate mode transitions. The following sections describe the commands available and the mode transitions that result. Refer to the following information below with regards to mode transitions.
Whenever a transition to Active mode occurs, the application:
-
Sets the start time to the current time.
-
Reads the starting count for the countdown from the rate record.
-
Sets the current count to starting count.
-
Reads the time of the current count from the timestamp of the rate record.
Note: If AVEVA Enterprise SCADA flags the rate record as stale, deactivated, or test mode, the count read-in will be the last good count.
When a Manual countdown reaches zero, the countdown continues with the record remaining in Active mode. As a result, the countdown value can go into negative numbers until the Controller issues a Stop command.
For a Full Automatic countdown, the Controller can override the associated multistate point, move a Stopped target to Active mode, and move an Active target to Stopped mode.
