Configure the Rules Validation Engine (RVE) Rules Set record

To configure the Rules Validation Engine (RVE) Rules Set for use with Product Transfer Checking (flowxfer)

1. Navigate to the RVE Rules Set (rveruleset) that has been created for status or multistate device to have Product Transfer Checking applied. Do one of the following:

   • Navigate from the rveruleset Table Edit window.

   • Select the Rules Set present on the RVE tab of the status or multistate Row Edit window.

2. Enter rules that the system will recognize. For Product Transfer Checking, these rules are as follows:

   1. productTransferPumpStartVerify is used for Pump devices.

   2. productTransferDRAInjectionStartVerify is used for Drag Reducing Agent (DRA) Injector type devices.

   3. productTransferValveOpenVerify is used for Valve type devices.

      Only the rule that is relevant to the situation should be entered into the Rveruleset table. Other rules concerning other application checks may already be present.
