There are two tables associated with the Telemetered Flow Computer, the fcConfigTelemetered and flowComputerRunTimeData.
The Telemetered Flow Computer sends and receives data on a field-by-field basis. The Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is programmed such that it will be able to interpret the communications from and communicate with the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA system. The information is sent on a field-by-field basis. For example, assume that the Batch ID information is coming from an analog point. Changes to the Batch ID are sent specifically to or from that analog point, rather than being sent in blocks of information.
The FcConfigTelemetered and the FlowComputerRunTimeData tables serve two different functions: the fcConfigTelemetered stores the configuration information (that is, the information set to ensure the Telemetered Flow Computer functions as expected) and the flowComputerRunTimeData table holds the data that is received from the Flow Computer. The FlowComputerRunTimeData table has no required Controller or Administrator interaction.
