Understand remote-managed batch information

Assignment of batch information to flow measurement data is handled at a remote-based flow computer. Transfer of the batch data to the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA host is handled by the Flow Computer Management application. The Flow Computer Management application saves batch data in the flowComputerRuntimeData table where it can be read by the Batch Transfer Management application. The Batch Transfer Management application acts primarily as a front end to the flow computer.

Batch Transfer does have optional control tasks in the remote-managed mode:

  • The Controller can issue batch cut type commands. These commands are forwarded to the flow computer for execution. The alternative is for a remote-based Controller or the flow computer itself to initiate these commands.

  • The Controller can initiate download of schedule data to the flow computer. The alternative is for the flow computer itself to call for a schedule download.

Transfer of completed tickets from the flow computer to Historical ticket tables is handled by the Flow Computer Management application.

Computation of hourly batch volume data and transfer of the data to Historical inventory tables is handled by the Batch Transfer Management application.
