Change the Logic Mode of the pump

Changing the Logic Mode of the pump allows you to dictate how and if the pump is to be used. The Logic Mode defines how the pump will be interpreted in the Flow Network. The following procedure details how to change the Logic mode.

To change the Logic Mode

1. From the Pump Control dialog, click the Logic Mode dropdown to select your desired Logic Mode.

   For more information on accessing the Pump Control dialog, see Access the Pump Summary window.

   • If you want to have the Flow Network interpret the pump state as Running, you have two options:

     • If you want to allow commands to the pump field device, select Out of Logic.

     • If you do not want to send commands to the pump field device, select Out of Service Running.

   • If you want to have the Flow Network interpret that pump state as Stopped, select Out of Service Stopped.

2. Select Set.
