AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Liquids

Manage Maintenance Tickets

Maintenance Tickets can be used to record volume accumulation that is reported by a meter but is not intended to be accounted for as actual flow down the pipeline. For example, when conducting meter proving runs, the volume that passes through a Batch Transfer location is cycled back upstream of the meter multiple times. Similarly, when performing field device testing, volumes reported at a Batch Transfer location might be simulated and not reflect actual flow. In these cases, the Controller can use the Maintenance Ticket feature to flag this volume as safe to ignore by other applications such as Batch Tracking and Pipeline Monitor (PLM).

  • Starting a Maintenance Ticket

  • Splitting a Maintenance Ticket

  • Stopping a Maintenance Ticket

  • Switching a Maintenance Ticket to a Normal Ticket

Note: If Batch Aggregation is enabled on the Batch Transfer, the previous batch values will be reset and historized. The Aggregation block will start accumulating data for the new batch.

For more details on these operations, refer to the AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Liquids Controller Guide.
