Configure the Additional Violation Check tab of the DRAInjector record

While the Drag Reducing Agent (DRA) Injector application looks for violations in the areas that it monitors (DRA injection rates, density information), it is possible that a customer would want to check for other additional violations.

A status or multistate point, possibly provided by a third-party system, can be set to monitor an additional area and indicate that a violation has occurred. If this status or multistate point goes into a configured violation state, then an alarm will be generated and displayed in the Alarm Summary, and the injector will be shut down if it is configured to do so.

To configure the Additional Violation Check tab of the DRAInjector record

  1. Open the DRAInjector record. For more information on opening a DRAInjector record, see Opening the Drag Reducing Agent Injector (DRAInjector) Record.

The DRAInjector Row Edit dialog appears.

  2. Select the Additional Violation Check tab.

The Additional Violation Check tab appears.

  3. To enable an additional violation check, select the Enable checkbox.

  4. In the Violation Detector field, click (...) to define the status or multistate point that provides Violation Detector information.

  5. Do one of the following:

    • Select Violation State Configuration to configure the states that indicate there has been a violation.

Note: This method will automatically populate the Violation State field.

    • In the Violation State field, enter the state or states (separated by commas) that would indicate there is a violation.
