Weighted average calculations for a Batch Transfer Source

Weighted average calculations for a Batch Transfer Source

As the batch continues to progress, flowing conditions are likely to fluctuate. Each processing cycle, the system will use the flowing conditions associated with the volume accumulated during that cycle in order to calculate a new Weighted Average (WA) for the Batch Transfer Source device. Weighted average values for Batch Transfer Sources reset with every new batch.

To calculate a weighted average Meter Correction Factor (MCF), the system uses the Indicated Volume (IV) reported by the Batch Transfer Source device as a basis for the calculations. The following procedure is used:

To calculate a weighted average for Temperature (T), Pressure (P), Observed Density (OD), Corrected Density (D), Correction for Temperature of a Liquid (CTL), and the Correction for Pressure of a Liquid (CPL), the system uses the Gross Volume (GV) reported by the Batch Transfer Source device as a basis for the calculations. GV is the actual volume at flowing temperature and pressure after being corrected by the meter factor. The following procedure is used:
