The AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Liquids Tank Management application allows you to control and view important information about your system's tanks.
Key Concepts
-
Configuration data and runtime data for a tank is contained in the tank table.
-
Configured strapping table data may be provided from a table based in the Historical service.
-
The tank level, either as a height of the fluid surface above the tank base or as a volume, is provided by the polling engine, either directly or via an analog or rtstring record.
-
The primary outcome of the data processing is corrected tank volume, as both:
-
Gross Observed Volume (GOV). This is the observed contents in the tank, corrected for gauging errors.
-
Gross Standard Volume (GSV). The is the observed contents, corrected for temperature. This value is required in order to know the volume that will be delivered when volume is moved out of the tank.
-
Key Tasks
-
Configuration of a tank and the associated strapping table.
-
Correction of polled level and tank volumes.
-
Tank state determination. State indicators include fullness or emptiness and flow in or out of the tank.
-
Controller notification of state changes. This includes state attributes on the easy eXtended Operator Station (ezXOS) displays, events, and alarms.
