Understand tank inventory

The tank inventory process runs either hourly, or at the Controller's command. It reads the current information from all tanks configured within the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA system, and saves the current data to the TankInventory table in Historical database. This process does not perform any calculation or make any adjustment to the data it receives.

For legacy compatibility, the tankSnap view has been provided to query data from the TankInventory table using the previous data structure. The snapShotType field in the TankInventory table and type field in the tankSnap view indicate the type of snapshot in use.
