Understand termination states of a Sequence Step

  • Last UpdatedApr 30, 2026

One of the following states results at the end of processing the Sequence Step. The Sequence Step will remain in the Termination state until the Action Sequence is started again and all steps are set to Idle. The state depends on the outcome of processing the Sequence Step:

  • Complete โ€” The command or wait period has been successfully processed.

  • Failed โ€” The command assigned to the Sequence Step failed to process correctly on the initial attempt and on all retry attempts. Either the command could not be issued, or it was issued but the intended outcome was not returned to the step process.

Note: The Failed state does not apply when processing Wait type.

  • Canceled โ€” The Controller issued a Stop command while the step was processing.

  • Interrupted โ€” A service change occurred while the step was processing.
