The Level Direction state indicates the direction of movement of the tank level. The possible Level Direction states are as follows:

  • Unknown — The tank level telemetry is set to manual.

  • Idle — If one of the following is true:

    • The external flow state is Inactive:

      • The Administrator has enabled the Automatic Idle flag.

      • The time elapsed since the flow state became inactive is greater than the Administrator-defined settling time.

Note: The tank cannot establish the base level for the Idle state until the tank level has finished settling after flow shut off.

    • The Controller has set the Operator Idle flag.

  • Filling — The volume of the tank is increasing.

  • Emptying — The volume of the tank is decreasing.

  • Stationary — No increase or decrease is observed.
