The Inhibits tab enables you to control the number of Events and Alarms associated with the Drag Reducing Agent (DRA) Injector that are recorded in the Event and Alarm Summaries.

To configure the Inhibits tab of the DRAInjector record

  1. Open the DRAInjector record. For more information on opening a DRAInjector record, see Opening the Drag Reducing Agent Injector (DRAInjector) Record.

The DRAInjector Row Edit dialog appears.

  2. Select the Inhibits tab.

    The Inhibits tab appears.

  3. To prevent the system from checking all configured violation types (Product, Density, Rate, Additional), select the Inhibit checkbox. All other functionality will work as normal. It can be inhibited by either you or the Controller. If you select the Inhibit checkbox, the system bypasses the Rules Validation Engine (RVE) Rules Check.

  4. To prevent alarms from this application from being logged in the Alarm Summary, select the Inhibit DRA Injector Alarms checkbox.

  5. To prevent Return-to-Normal (RTN) alarms from being logged in the Alarm Summary when a rule that was in violation is resolved, select the Inhibit Return-to-Normal Alarms checkbox.

  6. To prevent an event from being logged in the Event Summary when an event occurs, select the Inhibit DRA Injector Logging checkbox.

  7. To prevent an event from being logged in the Event Summary when a rule that was in violation is resolved, select the Inhibit Return-to-Normal Logging checkbox.

  8. To prevent a validation alarm during DRA Setpoint operations, select the Inhibit Setpoint Lookup Operational Validation Alarm checkbox.
