This area is at the bottom of the Deviation Limits window and primarily displays configured factors and parameters that apply to all balance periods for the Pipeline Monitoring (plm) record. The same factors apply to all balance periods.

The following table details the Global Adjustment and Processing Factors on the Deviation Limits window. For more information, refer to the AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Liquids Administrator documentation.

Field

Description

Balance Tuning Factor

Adjustment to the flow differential (Total Metered Input – Total Metered Output).

Deviation Filter Constant

Filter factor applied when calculating instantaneous (current) balance.

Diagnostics Volume Factor

This factor is used in comparing the latest volume change at an input device with the average volume change. If the latest change is determined excessive, the device is flagged as a possible leak location.

Suspension Alarm Timer Delay

The amount of time (in minutes) that plm must be in a low flow or slack condition before declaring a suspended state.

Stale Timeout

If any of the PLM data is stale for longer than this timeout period, the plm record will be marked as stale.

Suspend Dynamic Alarm Limits

This checkbox can be selected by you. If set, the Dynamic Alarm Limit utility is disabled for all balance periods. If Dynamic Alarm Limits are disabled in the Advanced Database Editor (ADE), the checkbox will be unavailable for selection.
