AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Liquids

Understand the Asset ID tab of the Pump record

  • Last UpdatedApr 24, 2025
  • 1 minute read

The Asset ID tab allows the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA system to be a launching point for interacting with third-party asset-management systems, for example, IBM Maximo Software. The three fields are included as virtual, read-only fields for the pump and valve tables (when the valve is configured as Physical or Synthetic). These read-only fields store the underlying multistate and status table values. For more information on the Asset ID tab, refer to Volume 1 of the RealTime Administrator documentation.

This field details additional information for asset-management purposes. It is a virtual, read-only field.

Note: The Location, Description, and Comment fields on pumps are read-only. If a Path is specified, the corresponding value of the underlying status or multistate field will be automatically used as the value for the pump record. These fields can only be modified from the underlying status or multistate field. If a different value is imported using Microsoft's Excel or another method, the new value will be discarded when a save occurs.
