Note: Although the following procedures detail how to delete a Tank Strapping table, we recommend that you do not delete Tank Strapping tables, as they contain historical data that may be relevant when performing such tasks as recalculating historical ticket volumes. Before deleting a Tank Strapping table, ensure that no tanks are using the table. This protects referential integrity.
There are two steps to delete a Tank Strapping table.
-
You must delete the elements contained within the Tank Strapping table. This can be completed within the Tank Strapping Table application or through Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. For more information about deleting a row in the Tank Strapping Table application, see Configure the Level to Volume for Extended Strap and Delete Tank Strapping elements.
-
After deleting the elements contained in the Tank Strapping table, it is possible to delete the Tank Strapping table itself. It is not possible to bulk delete Tank Strapping tables. Each table must go through the steps to ensure successful removal.
Note: Manual deletions of records in Historical will not be automatically replicated, that is, if you delete historical data from system 1, the changes will not be pushed through datapump and replicated to system 2.
