AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Liquids

Understand Top of Day (TOD) configuration

There are two ways the Top of Day (TOD) can be configured for the Pipeline Monitor (PLM) application:

  1. Internal to the PLM application, using the TOD Hour.

  2. In order to account for the different time zones that the pipeline may span, the TOD can be configured by the Administrator using the Group TOD supplied by the Separate TOD and Averages Rollup feature which is distinct from PLM. The Use Group TOD Hour will overwrite the value of the TOD Hour, if it was previously configured.

There are some differences in how they function:

  • The Separate TOD and Averages Rollup only allows configuration of the hour for the TOD.

  • PLM, in contrast, will allow minutes to be defined in conjunction with the hour for the TOD.

For detailed information on the Separate TOD and Averages Rollup feature, refer to Volume 1 of the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA RealTime Administrator Guide documentation.
