Understand state interpretation

Regardless of the states polled from the physical device, Valve application processing recognizes a fixed state set. The states are as follows:

• Unused

• Open

• Closed

• Opening

• Closing

• Transit

• Error

• Stopped

Each state in the message set must have a valve processing state assigned to it. This assigning is done using the State Configuration dialog that is accessed from the Main tab of the valve record.
