If the Drag Reducing Agent (DRA) Injector application is managing the injection rate, the following will occur:
-
An analog record for the injection rate is defined. The Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) controlling the DRA injection remotely will use the setpoint value of the analog when setting the injection rate of the DRA pump.
-
One or more rate or other meter type devices provide the flow rate information in the pipeline or station where the DRA injection is occurring.
If product density is being used to identify the product at the DRA pump, an analog record providing a density reading is defined.
If Batch Transfer data is being used to check products pending arrival at the DRA pump, one or more batchXfer records are defined.
If an external process is determining violation conditions, the status or the multistate point that is used to signal a violation is defined.
