Configure the separate High-Low (HiLo) alarm limits

Note: It is not possible to enter a fraction with more than three digits. If a fraction with more than three digits is entered, a bad level format tooltip error is displayed. If data entered on the increments side would cause the measurement in feet to be more than three digits, the same bad level format tooltip error will accompany the corresponding cells in the level column.

To configure the separate High-Low (HiLo) Alarm Limits

1. Open the tank record. For more information on opening a tank record, see Opening the Tank Record.

   The tank Row Edit dialog appears.

   

2. Select the Alarming tab.

   The Alarming tab appears.

   

3. In the Level Alarming section, select one or more of the following:

   • HighHigh (HiHi) Alarm Check

   • High (Hi) Alarm Check

   • Low (Lo) Alarm Check

   • LowLow (LoLo) Alarm Check

   • Normal Fill Alarm Check

   • Normal Empty Alarm Check

4. Depending on your choices in step 2, type alarm limits in one or more of the following fields:

   • HighHigh Alarm Limit

   • High Alarm Limit

   • Low Alarm Limit

   • Normal Fill Alarm Limit

   • Normal Empty Alarm Limit

   • LowLow Alarm Limit

The enforced parameters for setting High and Low Alarms are as follows:

• Your highest alarm limit cannot exceed the highest Level value outlined on the Level to Volume tab.

• Similarly, the lowest alarm limit cannot exceed the lowest level value defined on the Level to Volume tab.

Example

The Level to Volume tab of the tank Row Edit dialog defines the highest alarm limit as 30.5 and the lowest alarm limit as 0.5. Within those parameters, the HighHigh, LowLow, High, and Low Alarm Limits can be defined.

A possible configuration:

• HighHigh = 29.5

• LowLow = 0.6

• High = 20.0

• Low = 2.0

• Normal Fill = 18.5

• Normal Empty = 2.5
