Destination tab on rowxfer edit

The following table details the fields on the Destination tab of the Product Transfer Checking (flowxfer) Row Edit dialog.

Item

Description

Destination Type

The type of destination. The options available for selection are:

  • Tank

  • Tank Group

  • Pipeline Location

  • Batch Transfer

  • Virtual Flow Computer

  • Node

Note: When Node is selected as a Destination Type, only a Source Type of Batch Transfer or Virtual Flow Computer (VFC) is considered valid. When this combination is selected, the Product Transfer Checking record will be used for Product Injection Verification and Control purposes. For more information, see Understand Product Injection Verification and Control.

Destination Reference

Path to a point in the RealTime database (RTDB) that represents the destination device.

Select (...) to open the Path Selector dialog. Select a table and record.

Note: Unless the table and record have been selected properly, the Accept button is disabled.

Milepost

Milepost value used for Pipeline Location and Pump Destination Types. It is used to determine the products used for the comparison.

Volume/Time (mins)

Select whether to use time (minutes) or volume to measure the Upstream and Downstream zones.

Notes: By default, Upstream and Downstream zones are defined using Volume. The Time option is only available when the Product Injection Verification and Control feature is used.

When Volume is used to specify the Upstream and Downstream zones, the volumetric units are assumed to be the same as the units specified in the unit profile for the selected source.

Upstream Zone

Time or volume upstream of the Milepost or meter to gather product information. It is used to determine the products used for the comparison.

Note: When the Product Injection Verification and Control feature is used, the Upstream Zone field should be used to specify the upstream no injection zone. A value of 0 means that the system will not observe an upstream no injection zone.

Downstream Zone

Time or volume downstream of the Milepost to gather product information. It is used to determine the products used for the comparison.

Note: When the Product Injection Verification and Control feature is used, the Downstream Zone field should be used to specify the downstream no injection zone. A value of 0 means that the system will not observe an downstream no injection zone.

Upstream No Injection Warning Zone

Warning time or volume before the upstream no injection zone begins. The system will generate an event to capture this warning. A value of 0 indicates that no warning is required.

This field is only available when the Product Injection Verification and Control feature is used.

Downstream No Injection Warning Zone

Warning time or volume before the downstream no injection zone ends. The system will generate an event to capture this warning. A value of 0 indicates that no warning is required.

This field is only available when the Product Injection Verification and Control feature is used.

Exclusion Zone

Initial volume of the batch lineup on a Batch Transfer, which is ignored from product compatibility checks. This option is only available if Batch Transfer is selected as the Source Type.

Permissive Group

Group of controls related to the configuration of a Node for automated product injection verification and control.

Note: The fields in this group are only enabled when the Destination Type is Node. In addition, Source Type must be specified as Virtual Flow Computer or Batch Transfer. Otherwise, the Product Transfer Checking (flowXfer) record will not save and an error message will be generated.

For more information on Product Injection Verification and Control, see Understand Product Injection Verification and Control.

Status / Multistate Point

Path in the RTDB that represents the status or multistate point receiving ON or OFF commands for Product Injection Verification and Control purposes.

Select (...) to open the Path Selector dialog. Select a table and record.

Note: Unless the table and record have been selected properly, the Accept button will be disabled.

ON Command

The command to be automatically sent to the status or multistate point to indicate that the injection can be turned on.

OFF Command

The command to be automatically sent to the status or multistate point to indicate that the injection should be turned off.

Control Delay

The amount of time (minutes) that the system should wait after it has sent a command to the status or multistate point before sending another command to the same point.

A value of 0 means that the system will not observe a wait interval.

Tank Group Array

Array of tanks to compare if the type is Tank Group. Selecting (...) opens the Tank Select dialog, where you can select tanks for comparison.
