Configure the Main tab of a Meter Factor (Mtrfact) record

The Meter Factor (mtrfact) records are configured using the tabs on the mtrfact Row Edit dialog. The Main tab is used to set up the basic properties of the record.
Note: To make changes that affect the range limits of a mtrfact record, follow the steps
outlined within the following procedure.
1. Using ADE, navigate to the Accumulator records that reference the Meter Factor
record and clear the Apply MCF flag on the Meter Correction Factor (MCF) tab. This will ensure that the accumulator
does not continue to use the existing—and potentially invalid—MCF values while the
configuration process is in progress.
2. Make the required changes on the mtrfact record.
3. Using ezXOS, navigate to the MCF Grid available on the Accumulator Override Control
and update the MCF values in the grid according to the new range limits. For more
information on this step, refer to the AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Liquids Controller
Guide documentation.
4. Using ADE, re-enable the Apply MCF flag on the MCF tab for relevant accumulator records.

The following table lists the fields on the Main tab in the mtrfact Row Edit dialog.
|
Items |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Name |
The name of the mtrfact record. This is automatically supplied by the database. The automatically generated name is a combination of the accumulator's rate point name combined with the name of the product group. So, for example, if your accumulator was named Rate1 and your Product Group was Diesel, the name of the Meter Factor record would be Rate1_Diesel. |
|
Description |
Enter the description of the Meter Factor. |
|
Meter ID |
The rate identifier with which these Meter Factors are associated. |
|
Product Group |
Click (...) to select the prodgroup that these Meter Factors are associated with. The prodgroup Select dialog appears. For more information on prodgroup, see Work with Product Groups . |
|
Accumulator Rate |
The rate associated with this Meter Factor. After saving the record, the Meter ID field will populate. |
|
Dataset |
Click (...) to select a different dataset. The doas_dataset dialog appears. This field is used to associate the record with the privileges assigned for each system and mode. Once a record is assigned to a dataset value, the dataset can only be changed to a value for which the system has a privilege record. A record’s dataset cannot be changed in such a way that the system can no longer access the record. |
|
Shipper ID |
Enter the shipper ID for which these Meter Factors are valid. |
|
Time Limit (days) |
Enter the maximum length of time (in days) that a Meter Factor can be used before it is considered invalid. An entry of zero (0) inhibits the time limit verification for the Meter Factor. |
|
Throughput |
Enter the maximum amount of indicated product type that can flow through the meter before the Meter Factor is considered invalid. An entry of zero (0) inhibits the throughput verification for the Meter Factor. |
|
Manual 3 Sigma |
Enter the maximum Meter Factor deviation allowed from the mean. The number must be a floating point value in the range of 0.0000 to 1.0000. An entry of zero (0) disables the 3 Sigma verification for Meter Factor values. |
|
Number of Previous MCFs to Use |
Enter the number of previous Meter Factor values used to calculate the nominal Meter Factor and 3 Sigma values. This value must be an integer in the range of 1 to 50. If zero (0) is entered, the default of 50 is used. |
