AVEVA Enterprise SCADA detects leaks in a pipeline using the Pipeline Monitoring (PLM) application.
PLM monitors meters and tank flows into and out of the pipeline, as well as changes in pipeline linepack.
PLM allows you to configure a variety of time-period alarms with volume thresholds. If the application detects a volume discrepancy within a period that exceeds a period threshold, it generates an alarm.
All data gathered by PLM can be configured for Historical storage and viewed using specialized trends and tables.
