For the volume measured by a linear meter to be more precisely known for transfer purposes, it must be corrected to a standard temperature and pressure and corrected for density and mechanical variance in the meter. This corrected volume is referred to as a Gross Standard Volume (GSV). The volume counter or flow rate obtained from the rate record and the Volume delta derived from it may be uncorrected or may be partially or fully corrected to this standard.
