Understand the Rules Validation Engine (RVE) rules for Drag Reducing Agent (DRA) Injector

Devices that can be commanded to initiate a Drag Reducing Agent (DRA) injection must have the transfer checked for product compatibility before the transfer can proceed. This checking is configured using the Rules Validation Engine (RVE) mechanism. The RVE uses the status or multistate record that has the polling parameter information for the device to confirm that the DRA injection is going to be successful. The device that is responsible for the DRA Injection is called DRAInjectorStartVerify.

Configure the rules for each device type as follows. General instructions for RVE use can be found in Volume 1 of the RealTime Administrator documentation.

If the status or multistate record for the device already has an rveruleset record assigned, this step is skipped. For more information on how to link the status and multistate records, see Assign the Rules Validation Engine (RVE) Rules Set record to the status or multistate record. For more information on editing the RVE Rules Set (rveruleset) record, see Configure the Rules Validation Engine (RVE) Rules Set record. Otherwise, open the rveruleset Table Edit window to create the record.
