The following table provides a description of the items on the Main tab in the pressmon Row Edit dialog.
Name |
Description |
|---|---|
Safety Related |
Selecting the checkbox will designate the point as being safety-related. |
Group |
Standard fields used for RealTime Database (RTDB) tables. The Group field is used to define groupings of closely related devices. |
Dataset |
Click (...) and select the name of the dataset you want to associate with this record from the Dataset Select dialog. A dataset contains privileges assigned for each system and mode. Once a record is assigned to a data set value, the dataset can only be changed to a value for which the system has a privilege record. A record’s dataset cannot be changed in such a way that the system can no longer access the record. |
Base Message |
Click (...) and select the message associated with the record from the Message Select dialog. |
Input Unit Profile |
Click (…) and select the unit profile that you wish to associate with the record from the unitprofile Select dialog. |
Remote |
This field is used for sorting and filtering purposes only. It has no effect on data processing. |
Priority Display |
Specify the graphic you want to be associated with the Priority Display on an easy eXtended Operator Station (ezXOS) control panel. |
Pressure Method |
Indicates how the pressure readings are to be used and accounted for. There are two options available for selection:
Historical |
Selecting Historical opens collect Table Edit. For more information on the collect table, refer to Volume 1 of the RealTime Administrator documentation. |
Inhibit Monitoring |
Select the checkbox to inhibit monitoring of this record. |
Iterations for second deadband check |
Type the number of iterations AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Liquids performs when checking for violations of the second deadband after the pressure or flow rate point has violated the first deadband. |
Previous Sample Set Size (2-15) |
Enter the number of previous samples (between 2 and 15, inclusive) Pressmon uses when calculating the slope in order to estimate the next value. |
Allow flow alarm alone |
Select the checkbox to allow a flow rate alarm to exist without the pressure point being in alarm. If this field is checked, when the pressure goes into the second deadband violation, Pressmon monitors flow rate points for a configured time to see if any flow rates go into the second deadband violation. Pressmon continues to monitor the flow rate points even if the pressure point goes back to normal. If unchecked, as soon as the pressure point changes state from the second deadband violation to normal, Pressmon stops monitoring the flow rate. In this case, the point will never be in flow rate alarm when the associated pressure point is not in alarm. |
Flow Rate Monitoring Period (minutes) |
Enter the maximum amount of time (in minutes) Pressmon should check for flow rate deadband violations after the associated pressures exceed the second deadband. |
Auto-reset on Comm. Restore |
Select the checkbox to clear the pressure and flow rate sample arrays after a communication outage. The state of the record is set to Normal. |
Alarm Suppression |
Select to open the almsuppression Table Edit. Alarm Suppression is an AVEVA Enterprise SCADA feature and use of this table is described in Volume 1 of the RealTime Administrator documentation. Pressmon alarms can be suppressed using this feature. |
