Station Efficiency works to provide information about how efficient each station is. Information collected by the station efficiency module is provided by analog records, which gather demand information as well as information about various kinds of pressure inputs.
In addition, it is also possible for the station efficiency module to gather flow rate information. If station efficiency is to gather flow rate information, it needs to be associated with a Batch Tracking node record.
Pump Efficiency Calculation
This calculation uses the analog record and node record configured in the Station Efficiency tab of the pumpstation Row Edit dialog as the source of the calculation inputs. The inputs are:
-
Kilowatt Demand
-
Discharge Pressure
-
Suction Pressure
-
Throttle Pressure
-
Case Pressure
If this analog point is not defined, it is calculated as:

Note: If Case Pressure is given, Discharge Pressure and Throttle Pressure are not required.

Application Calculation Engine (ACE) Routine
An Application Calculation Engine (ACE) routine is used to perform the Station Efficiency calculation. This routine takes the slot number of the pumpstation record containing the analog inputs as input. It returns Station Efficiency as the output. The ACE routine found in the following directory: DNA\RealTime\database\ACE\source\stationEfficiency.cs is provided. For more information, refer to Volume 2 of the Advanced Database Editor (ADE) Administrator documentation.
