Understand Product Transfer Checking command verification

There are three types to be verified:

  • Pump start.

  • Drag Reducing Agent (DRA) injection start.

  • Valve open, where the valve may control the path.

All commands are against status or multistate points representing the pump, injector, or valve. Verification of the command is configured using a standard AVEVA Enterprise SCADA utility: the Rules Validation Engine (RVE). Rule checking, implemented as a call to a Business Logic Tier (BLT) object, can be configured for any status or multistate point using Advanced Database Editor (ADE). Commands that would violate a rule programmed into the BLT object will be blocked unless the Controller chooses to override the warning presented.

The following BLT objects are associated with the Product Transfer Checking application:

  • productTransferPumpStartVerify

  • productTransferValveOpenVerify

  • productTransferDRAStartVerify
