AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Liquids

Simple valve and pump

The first example is one of the simplest that can be configured for Line Blockage: a single valve and pump with an injection and delivery device. The goal of this scenario is to create a pump that will shut down whenever a valve is closed.

The Injection Meter and Delivery Tank have been configured to provide flow direction for the pump. The pump has been configured in the Advanced Database Editor (ADE) to shut down when it is blocked downstream.

When the valve closes, the pump will be disconnected from its delivery device, resulting in a shutdown.
