The fields in the Asset ID tab in the valve Row Edit dialog allow the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA system to be a launching point for interacting with third-party asset-management systems.

Note: The Location, Description, and Comment fields on valves are read-only when the Valve Type is Physical Valve or Synthetic Valve. If a Path is specified, the corresponding value of the underlying status or multistate field will be automatically used as the value for the valve record. These fields can only be modified from the underlying status or multistate field. If a different value is imported using Microsoft's Excel or another method, the new value will be discarded when a save occurs.
