As batch volumes are updated, the active batch processor saves the data to the batchXfer table (for overall batch data) and the batchXferCalc table (for batch volume data per device). From these tables, the data is then made available for the Controller to view using the easy eXtended Operator Station (ezXOS) displays.
The active batch processor will send hourly batch volume data to inventory tables in Historical. This data can be used to generate reports on batch volume inventories.
At the moment that the active batch processor determines that another batch has arrived (either by Controller command or automatically), a batch cut is declared and a new batch started. The current active batch is closed for processing, and the data computed for it (completed ticket) is sent to the ticket tables in Historical. These tables contain sufficient information to allow a volume recalculation if a data error is corrected, and thus can be used to generate custody transfer tickets. This data can also be used for batch inventories.
