Configure the Inhibits tab on the Action Sequence record

The Inhibits tab of the actionSequence Row Edit dialog allows you to inhibit the entire record and configure what alarms and events should be generated by the record.

To configure inhibits associated with the Action Sequence

  1. Open the actionSequence record. For more information on opening a actionSequence record, see Open an Action Sequence Record.

    The actionSequence Row Edit dialog appears.

  2. Select the Inhibits tab.

  3. To inhibit the actionSequence record, select the Inhibit checkbox. This selection will prevent the Controller from making the record active.

  4. To prevent alarms from being generated when a sequence fails to complete successfully, select the Inhibit alarming of failed sequence checkbox.

  5. To prevent alarms from being generated when a sequence has successfully completed, select the Inhibit alarming of successful sequence checkbox.

  6. To prevent alarms from being generated when a step in a sequence fails, but a failure path exists and is started, select the Inhibit failure path alarm checkbox.
