Create a new Plmvoldevice for the PLM record

The Pipeline Monitor Volume Device (plmvoldevice) record defines the characteristics of each measurement input to the Pipeline Monitor (plm) record. To create a plmvoldevice for a plm record, use the following steps:

Note: A plmvoldevice record should only be created from the plm Row Edit dialog.

To create a plmvoldevice for a plm record

1. In the Advanced Database Editor (ADE) window, click the chevron next to the Pipeline Monitor table to display all of the individual plm records associated with the table.

   

2. Double-click the Pipeline Monitor (plm) record.

   The plm Row Edit dialog appears.

   

3. Select Functions > Create New Volume Device.

   The Create Volume Device dialog appears.

   

4. From Device Type, select one of the following:

   • Meter

   • Linefill

   • Tank

5. Select Create.

   The Create Volume Device dialog appears.

   

6. Select Yes.

   A new plmvoldevice Row Edit form appears.
